This Is Your Big Day, So Shine Like A Super Model

You can overlook the faux paws of your teenage one-hour photo taken with your best friend forever, like the too bright pink lipstick, or the black liner on eyes, lips AND brow, or the fake city back drop you posed in front with matching denim outfits; but this is not the photo shoot chronicles of your adolescence. It's your engagement announcements, invitations, and the perfect frame of your Big Day. Yes, you're getting married! And yes, all eyes (and lenses) are on you.
Most every bride envisions themselves as a flawless fairy floating through a camera lens as their angelic smile and expressions are snapped. The actual execution of this vision can be more cumbersome than it seems. Fortunately, there are some sure fire ways to get through the jitters, awkwardness, and barriers to your picture perfect memories.
Lets Talk Angles
You know that not so flattering facial expression you're always caught dead in, at the family picnic? Fix it!
How:
1. Before your photo shoot (for about a week) whenever you're conversing on the phone, study yourself in the mirror. Talk to your most goofy friend, your endearing grandma, or your sports enthusiast brother. Talk and watch. Eventually you will notice how your face reacts to stimuli and will subconsciously start changing the expression you find less appealing.
2. Again, look in the mirror and take a piece of paper and line it up vertically against one half of your face, then to the other side. Do this to see how symmetrical your face is. You might be surprise to see that each side in their respective individual views aren't as similar as you thought, this makes a difference to a camera. So take about 5 minutes and make different poses and smiles in the mirror to see which side you like the most! It's almost like having an imaginary twin :-)
Tip: Elongating your neck and putting your chin slightly down, helps bring the vogue out ;-)
Posturesque
As if its not enough pressure to lose or gain those ten pounds of love handles to fit into your dress, taking photos that flaunt to curves and not the bulges or bones of your body can be a challenge.
1. Its not always about your weight, exercise just makes you feel great. Physical activity not only helps to shed pounds, tone or bulk, it also helps your muscle memory, joints, and bones prepare for posing, PLUS! It helps your posture. Try taking some ZUMBA or bikram classes a week before your shoot. Don't be afraid to take your tush to the gym, or on a hike, either.
Breaking a sweat makes a difference in how your skin glows, and how your body flows through each frame. The endorphins heightened by physical activity will also help you smile brighter, and boost your confidence.
Lights Camera Action
You've done everything to prepare for your shoot, today is the day.
A couple important things to remember
1. EAT!
If you're hungry you'll be cranky, and we don't want cranky to show up in your photos, so eat a moderate meal about 30 minutes before shoot time.
2.DRINK!
Stay hydrated at least one bottle of water consumed before shooting.
3. Relax
Fill your mind with thoughts of goodness, let it shine through.
4. Be Brave!
You're already beautiful
